First day back after Christmas Break :) First thing I did was to finish up pulling the matt from the Madonna window. As you can see, the brush strokes are a little too prominent, but firing it really helped to even it out. Unfortunately, it got scratched after I put it in the kiln, so I didn't have a chance to fix it before it became permanent. We are going to do a second layer of shading though, so I should be able to do a little damage control.
Over break I completed the playing card cartoon. The self portrait side doesn't look much like me, but other than that I really like how it turned out. I love the black, white, and gold stain type glass paintings, which is what this is going to be. I'm so excited :)
